Like Hot Sauce? Get Apocalyptic HOT! --AApes NFT

Updated: Jan 26, 2023

Welcome back you Risky Rascals!

Today I am doing my first feature of exclusive utility from an NFT project that I have covered previously and that specific blog set an All-Time High (ATH) number of views at 572! This community is robust! Which is a perfect segway into the Apocalyptic Ape Hot Sauce! There are many reasons why this is a significant move in the space of Web-3, so let's dive into these reasons now, and hopefully, it doesnt get too hot for your taste!

I'm not going to speak too much about the project directly (since I have already covered them in detail before), but there needs to be a common foundation of understanding for those who are new to the NFT/Crypto space as well. By owning an Apocalyptic Ape (AAPE), you as the owner hold FULL Intellectual Property Licenses (IP Licenses) for your NFT. What does that mean for people who didn’t attend law school? In layman's terms, this grants you the ability to take all use of this NFT and do whatever you please. This also means that if someone uses it without your permission, you could go after that individual due to an infringement of your licensed asset. So, this understanding needs to be established that all income from your NFT comes to you as the owner. If you decided to sell, the rights then go with the asset.

Okay, enough of the legal talk let's get to the HOT stuff!! In my experience in the crypto/NFT space, it is best to be a sponge and absorb everything from everyone. With that being said, I am always looking to better myself as a content creator by hearing ALPHA in Twitter Spaces and obtaining information from other mediums. I was recently in a Twitter Space with the founder of Apocalyptic Apes, Bill Starkov (aka Fity.eth), where he was discussing the importance of keeping the liquid within the web-3 space. I found this extremely eye-opening. I have covered many projects that sell merchandise but as Fity.eth stated, “merch, as much as I have bought it, does not keep the liquid in the web-3 space, instead it puts it right back into the web-2 space, which does not support the utility of the holders.” As holders of NFTs in the Web-3 space, we want to put our time and energy into projects that are going to give us the same in return. Thus, brought the idea of Hot Sauce, to integrate AAPEs and create adoption through an item that we are all familiar with.

The Apocalyptic Apes founder, Fity.eth, has teamed up with unitedsauces.com and Vic Clinco (the world's largest Hot Sauce collector and Hot Sauce expert) to create a diverse array of spices to meet the needs of any Scoville-level connoisseur. Why target the Hot Sauce Market? This market specifically is booming at this time and has been since 2018. So, what better market to pair with than the NFT/Crypto market?

Adoption is one of the hardest things to achieve once innovation starts. Ask your parents or yourself if you wish you would have listened to people talk about the dot com boom. Change is hard, and as humans, we do not like it. I think Crypto.com has a great motto, “Fortune Favors the Brave”. Think about how many people actually know about NFTs. A recent study was conducted by Aliza Vigderman, Senior Editor, Industry Analyst (link attached for reference) from 2021-2022 people who have never heard of an NFT went from 66% to 7% in a year. Now, the whole reason I bring these studies into play is that the market is still in its infancy. This is why Fity.eth has decided to use a common household item to spread this awareness.

So, let's talk about the actual sauces now! What kind of heat are we bringing to the table? As for the launch (coming soon), there will be 3000 sauce orders which include: 500 Cannibal Spice (mild), 500 Harambe Chipotle (mild), 500 Pineapple Habanero (medium), 500 Rattlesnake Heat (medium), 500 Scorpion Dust(hot), 500 Apocalyptic(X-hot). Don't like hot? They are making sure that every sauce imaginable is going to be available for purchase on this marketplace. This is just the beginning of what these guys have to offer! If you are a real Hot Sauce lover, there will also be limited (250 special) custom sauce options where you can work with Vic Clinco himself, by selecting from 20 different peppers and flavors to create your own unique sauce. This will include a fully customizable sauce label catered to your AAPE(Art created by Haddy)! If this isn't enough for you all AAPE products will be Vegan, Organic, and Gluten free! Where else can you get this kind of utility?

Now, for the big question, how do I get involved with this whole process? Well, that depends, do you want to earn money from having your NFT on a bottle of Hot Sauce, that has the potential to hit local and regional markets, or do you just want to try the Hot Sauce and then later see what this NFT business is all about?

Option 1: I want to use my IP rights to place my AAPE on a bottle.

  1. You need to own the AAPE/Queen that you want to place on the bottle, if you do not own an AAPE/Queen head to Option 2

  2. You will need to make a purchase of some sauce here: https://aahotsauce.com/

  3. After your purchase, fill out the “ship my sauce” form

  4. Once complete, within 14 days they will ship 3 bottles of your new sauce directly to you.

  5. Your new sauce will be available for purchase on the AAPes Sauce Marketplace for 50% (Net Proceeds through quarterly distributions) will be paid to the IP owners (you)

Option 2: I don't have an AAPE/Queen, I just want to try some Hot Sauce, could potentially buy an AAPE NFT.

  1. You can purchase some sauce here: https://unitedsauces.com/pages/apocalyptic-apes

  2. If you want to get paid from your AAPE on a bottle, you will need to purchase one here for OG AApes: https://opensea.io/collection/apocalyptic-apes?search[sortAscending]=true&search[sortBy]=UNIT_PRICE here for Queens: https://opensea.io/collection/queenapes

  3. Once you have purchased an AAPE/Queen, follow the instructions for Option 1

In my opinion, NFTs will be in everyone's household, conversation, and daily lives in the near future. How fast that becomes a reality depends on the founders in the space who dare to push the limits and gain adoption by providing familiar things such as Hot Sauce on a shelf or in convenience stores to spark the curiosity of the consumer to discover this new technology. I have always said that word of mouth is the best form of marketing because it brings true members who have a real interest in your project/business. I will always trust my best friend if he says he had a great experience at this place.

There will be a QR code on each of the bottles that consumers will be able to scan and it will take them to the OpenSea link, to that specific asset, of AApes where if the consumer loves it, they can put in an offer on that asset or buy it outright if it is for sale. This will be a conversation starter at dinner tables, local dive bars, and even just in time for the Holidays. You get to have a real conversation and spread awareness to someone who may not have any clue or is just as big a degen as you!

Once again, thank you all for showing up and supporting my blog! I am trying my best to spread the wealth of knowledge that I have gained over my time in this space. No one should ever have to lose money to learn in the NFT space. That is my goal. While none of this blog is intended for financial advice and I still encourage everyone to do their own research on top of what I have provided. If you need more details on the project as a whole go back to the blogs tab and find the one on Apocalyptic Apes!
