In today’s blog edition, I will be doing a step-by-step analysis of how to properly order your own personalized hot sauce bottle using the Apocalyptic Apes & Queen Apes collections (“AAPES”). There has been some confusion on how to get started, so I want to make sure that everyone has a free and easy guide to get started on receiving their potential quarterly royalties from the IP rights that come with your AAPES.

If you are reading this blog, that means you’d like to learn more about the hot sauce ordering process or are curious about how to potentially earn royalties using your AAPES’ NFT IP rights. I have written two blogs on the Apocalyptic Apes thus far and highly encourage you to read the project overview of the entire project first in order to get a better understanding of the business that Fity and his team are creating in Web3. Now it's time to dive into the details and hopefully help you get your Apocalyptic Ape or Queen Ape on a bottle of delicious hot sauce!
The first question is: do you own an Apocalyptic Ape or Queen Ape? If not, then the next question is: do you have one of the several approved crypto wallets (ie: Metamask, WalletConnect, or Coinbase)? Metamask is one of the more popular Ethereum-based crypto wallets and is used as a medium to exchange cryptocurrencies and NFTs. You will need one of these to start your journey. Securing your first AAPE/Queen is solely based on your interest in the art. No one can tell you how to pick an NFT, so choose the one that appeals most to you! For example, my first Apocalyptic Ape was AAPE #5310 because I loved the way the Setting Sun background looked with the Power Armor V1 mask!
Step 1 - Mint Hot Sauce NFT - Once you have acquired the AAPE/Queen that you want to be on your hot sauce bottle, you should then head over to the AAPES hot sauce order page to mint (a/k/a purchase) a specific hot sauce flavor NFT. You will be prompted to connect using one of the several approved crypto wallets (ie: Metamask, WalletConnect, or Coinbase), and upon connecting, you’ll be redirected to an order screen where you can decide which flavor(s) you’d like to purchase. Once you’ve decided on the type & quantity, you then complete Step 1 by clicking the Mint button. The mint price ranges from .08 - .087 ETH (~$100), depending on the type of sauce you select. Note - you will need sufficient ETH to cover both the mint cost and associated gas transaction fees, otherwise the transaction won’t be completed. Upon blockchain confirmation, an NFT of the flavor(s) of hot sauce you minted will appear in your wallet. You can then proceed to Step 2.
Personally, I ordered the Cannibal Spice and ABSOLUTELY LOVE its flavor! The heat level is comparable to Franks Red Hot or Tabasco but is way more flavorful. To date, I have shared it with approximately 25 people, all of whom have loved its flavor and asked where they could purchase their own! There are currently 10 different flavors that you can choose from, four of which were added the week before Christmas. Step 2 - Ship Your Sauce - Once you have minted your hot sauce NFT(s), you can then complete your order by heading to the Ship Your Sauce page and connecting your wallet one last time. You will be prompted to pair the appropriate hot sauce with the AAPE or Queen that you’d like on the bottle. You can then proceed to the next page where you’ll provide your shipping and contact information. After reviewing your contact & shipping information, you then finalize the order by clicking the order now button. The hot sauce NFT will then be burned (the AAPE or Queen will not be burned!) while the order, contact, and shipping information will be automatically forwarded to the hot sauce company for fulfillment/processing. Additionally, you will receive an email confirmation of your order (be sure to check your spam folder).
What is the purpose of burning the hot sauce NFT?
The purpose of burning the hot sauce NFT is to show the transaction on the blockchain, then remove it entirely as a form of receipt/invoice. That way the deal ends up being a business-to-business (“b2b”) transaction between the IP Holder and United Sauces (hot sauce partner), while the Apocalyptic Apes brand washes its hands of any responsibility and legal implications (i.e. - potentially being considered a security, etc). According to Fity, there is a legal team handling all of the behind-the-scenes due diligence and legal research to ensure the Apocalyptic Apes brand, its investors, and its community are safely engaging in an established and legal royalty-based b2b model.
Additional Information:
● Order is expected to be shipped directly to you within 14 days, but is generally much quicker for US residents.
● United Sauces has the ability to ship internationally to most countries (shipping included with mint price). If you are concerned about whether United Sauces can ship to your country, feel free to submit a ticket in the Apocalyptic Apes Discord using the #contact-mod channel.
● Your order will include three bottles of the selected hot sauce, each custom-labeled with your AAPE / Queen. At this time, you cannot mix and match different AAPES / Queens for each of the three bottles.
● Your new sauce will be available for purchase on the United Sauces’ AAPES Marketplace, where 50% of the net profits will be paid to IP owners through quarterly distributions.
After you’ve successfully completed the ordering process, sit back and wait for your custom hot sauce paired with your Apocalyptic Ape / Queen NFT to start working for you. As of now, the AAPE brand is working with the largest hot sauce distribution company in the world (United Sauces). The team continues to branch out and obtain more distributors, such as local, regional, and global markets to achieve mass adoption/branding.
